Features

Two miniature LCD color monitors, model VL35C and model VL25C, accept NTSC video input and produce a high-resolution full color video image on their TFT LCD screens. Nominal screen size is 3.5″ and 2.5″ diagonal, respectively.

Resolution of the VL35C screen is 234 (H) × 200 (V) color pixels. Resolution of the VL25C screen is 234 (H) × 160 (V) color pixels.

Each monitor is housed in a black plastic enclosure. A thumbwheel on the side of the housing provides brightness adjustment. Video connectors are RCA with input impedance of 75 Ohm. Buffered video output with impedance of 75 Ohm is available on request at no additional cost.

Power requirement is nominal 5V DC, ranging from 3.8V to 5.5V DC.

The monitors are available with or without housing for incorporating into OEM equipment.

The following VL35C options are available during ordering:

  • Signal Input Options:
    • Composite video only, S-video (YC video) only, or Composite/S-video switchable with logic-level select signal
    • NTSC only, PAL only, or NTSC/PAL switchable with logic-level select signal
    • Composite/S-video or RGB + Sync
  • Power Input Options:
    • +5 V regulated at 400 mA
    • +8 V to +30 V regulated or unregulated at 2.0 to 2.5 W total power consumed
  • Controls Options:
    • Our standard model has brightness control thumbwheel installed. External controls are available for the following image parameters:
    • Brightness
    • Contrast
    • Tint
